After submitting the project, we went to have holiday at Sunshine Beach Resort, Port Dickson for 2 days and 1 night. It was a wonderful holiday. The apartment was very comfortable (since it had good facilities such as astro, wet kitchen, refrigerator, microvave, air-conditioner, water-heater, swimming pool, and bbq pit). If you not believe, experience it yourself or JUST BELIEVE IT !!!

Laptop Cooler

The second task that can be performed by Multi-spinner is laptop cooler. There is a problem encounter when testing laptop cooler.

Problem : The blades are touching the table.

Solution : A stand was assembled to supports the blade’s motor and to avoid the blade from touching the table.

Part F : Blades

There are three types of blade using for Multi-spinner that can perform different jobs. These blades is connecting to the motor through gears. There are many problems encounter to do the blade:

First problem : The duster are is not spinning.

Solution : The gap was mad between duster and table, therefore the duster are able to spin.

Second problem : The wind blow when cool the laptop is not really satisfied.

Solution : The wide bladed is made from sponge, so that it is light, safe, and can produce more wind blow.

Part E : Small wheel

Small wheel is assembling at the bottom part of Multi-spinner to help the robot rotate smoothly. There is a problem encounter when fixing the small wheel.

Problem : Multi-spinner can performs three jobs by using only a robot, which are cooling the laptop, cutting paper, and cleaning the table. the robot needs to move and rotate only when performing job as table duster. Other jobs is just holding the robot by hand or just put on the table. The small wheel disturbing the rotation of the blade when performing job as laptop cooler and paper cutter.

Solution : Two stoppers are assembling to hold the small wheel and make it stays in one position when performing the job as laptop cooler and paper cutter. This stoppers are flexible. There are just like a lock, which can be open when cleaning the table and close when cooling the laptop and cutting the paper.

Part D : Bottom part of the robot (wheel)

The robot is connected to the wheel. Therefore, the bottom part of Multi-spinner is fixing with two wheels and two Interactive Servo Motors. These wheels are important to move the robot from one place to another place.

There is no problem encounter during the construction of bottom part of the robot.

Part C : Gear for blade

Gear is using to transfer the power / energy from motor to the blade. There are four gears use in Multi-spinner, which are a big size gear, a medium size gear, and two small size gears. The gear must be connected from the motor, continuously to the blade.

Problem: The gears is rotate slowly

Solution : We try to use other sizes of gear, which are fro bigger size of gear connect to the motor, and transfer the energy to small size gear. Other than that, we try to change the position of all gears until the rotation become faster.

Part B : Motor for Blade

An Interactive Servo Motor is assembling to robot’s arm. This motor is using to rotate the blade for Multi-spinner.

There is no problem occur during the development of this part.

Part A: Body

The body of the Multi-Spinner consists a brick, robot handle, touch sensor, and robot arm.

Problem : The problem occur is the arm is too close to the NXT brick. therefore, it is disturbing the process to plug in cable to download the program from computer.

Solution: Some Lego was added to make the arm longer and offer enough space to plug in the cable.
